Description

Removal of SOx and NOx gases can be achieved in a single-step process using Electron Beam Flue Gas Treatment. This requires a window between the electron gun and the beam-gas interaction area. The Novel Electron Window Test Stand was constructed to test the suitability of these windows with regard to attenuation and deflection. In this summer student project, a modular control and DAQ system was developed for the test stand. In addition, the window must withstand a pressure difference of 1 bar; pressure testing was conducted to narrow the list of possible window designs.
