Description

The production of Z bosons with two isolated high-energy photons is studied using proton-proton collisions at $\sqrt{s}$ = 8 TeV with an integrated luminosity of 20.3 𝑓𝑏$^{-1}$ collected by the ATLAS detector. The data are used to make tests of the electroweak sector of the Standard Model and search for deviations that could provide evidence for new physics. The production cross sections are measured with neutrino decay of the Z boson and then compared to the theory predictions. The high-energy region of di-photon invariant mass is used to search for anomalous quartic gauge-boson couplings of photons and Z bosons: ZZ$\gamma\gamma$ and $Z\gamma\gamma\gamma$. Having found no significant deviations from SM predictions, limits on anomalous quartic gauge coupling are set.
