Statistical model for SUS-23-016
Introduction
This resource contains the full statistical model for CMS Combine v10.5.0 related to the paper "Search for new physics in the final state with a single photon and large missing transverse momentum in proton-proton collisions at √s = 13 TeV", by the CMS collaboration.
The instructions below include the commands needed to reproduce the workspaces used for the results presented in the publication. For additional technical documentation please consult the CMS Combine documentation.
Analysis specific instructions
The RooFit workspace along with the input datacards for each sample used, for the analysis are located in: input/Cards_AfterFR_CMSname/
All of the relevant options for combine commands are documented below.
Physics Models
EW-DM model
The limits for the EW-DM model can be obtained using:
combine -M AsymptoticLimits comb_card_DM_EWK_Mx-1.txt
Repeat the same command for all other DM-EWK samples with different dark matter masses: Mx = 1, 10, 50, 100, 200, 400
ADD model
The limits for the ADD model can be computed using:
combine -M AsymptoticLimits comb_card_ADDmonoPhoton_MD-3d-3.txt
The same command should be repeated for all ADD model points with the following parameter combinations:
MD = 1–6 d = 3, 4, 5, 6, 8
DM simplified model for Axial Vector and Vector mediator
For the dark matter simplified models with Vector and Axial-Vector mediators
Vector mediator: combine -M AsymptoticLimits comb_card_DM_NLO_Vector_Mx-1_Mv-1000_pta130.txt
Axial Vector mediator: combine -M AsymptoticLimits comb_card_DM_NLO_Axial_Mx-1_Mv-1000_pta130.txt
The same command is repeated for all combinations of: Dark matter mass: Mx and Mediator mass: Mv
The datacards follow the naming pattern:
comb_card_DM_NLO_Vector_Mx-<Mx>_Mv-<Mv>_pta130.txt
comb_card_DM_NLO_Axial_Mx-<Mx>_Mv-<Mv>_pta130.txt
where Mx and Mv are dark matter mass and mediator mass respectively.
