Description
The first decade of operations at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) has firmly established the success of the Standard Model (SM) of particle physics, confirming it as a remarkably accurate framework for describing fundamental interactions. The discovery of the Higgs boson, along with the observation of rare processes such as light-by-light scattering, triboson production, and the electroweak production of massive vector bosons, are among the most significant recent achievements. Yet, the SM leaves many fundamental questions unanswered — the origin of the cosmological baryon asymmetry, the nature of dark matter and dark energy, and the unification of forces. These open problems make the search for physics beyond the Standard Model (BSM) more pressing than ever.
