Flow mode studies for φ meson in PbPb run2 data

Authors/Creators

Description

Elliptic flow for φ meson is measured in Pb-Pb collisions at √sNN = 5.02 TeV with the ALICE detector at the Large Hadron Collider. φ mesons have similar mass to protons and as a result one would expect a mass ordering similar to that of protons in low pT region. Since a particle type grouping in the intermediate pT values is expected, φ mesons must follow the same trend as other mesons, i.e. pions and kaons. Therefore a preparation of the software embedded in the official resonance package was required. As a first step the aim was to include the generic framework calculations for the elliptic flow mode v2. Finally, the project aims to give an insight to the behaviour of the flow modes in different pT values for this unique particle species.
