I have been assigned a project related to the CMS detector at the Large Hadron Collider. Before I move towards the actual details and goals for ultra-fast machine learning inference at CMS, I will first describe the CMS detector, trigger system, triggering at CMS, the need for Machine Learning and FPGAs, high level synthesis and boosted decision trees briefly.
