Monitoring Temperature Along High Pressure 2-Phase Coaxial CO2 Detector Transfer Lines
Authors/Creators
Description
The creation and implementation of a temperature monitoring system adapted to coaxial 2-phase CO2 detector transfer lines with the purpose of inspecting the efficiency of the lines' insulation is described in this paper and utilizes an SQL database, Grafana visualization, a multi-temperature readout system, and python scripts to remove background signal. Tests were only carried out on a vacuum insulated half-flexible half-rigid DTL while the next phase of experimentation will compare these data with those taken from an aerogel insulated fully rigid line. This study indicates that a weak vacuum has a more significant effect on the insulation of a flexible line than that of a rigid one, but that this deficiency could be remedied by pumping a new vacuum through the line.
