Description
This study investigates the potential of new silicon sensor technologies in the ATLAS ITk to enable hit-based b-tagging at the trigger level for HL-LHC conditions. The work focuses on analyzing spatial hit distributions, developing a vertex correction method to align hits with the jet axis, and preparing datasets to train a Graph Neural Network (GNN) for real-time, trackless b-jet identification.
