Study of soft gluon resummation as a function of particle mass & center-of-mass energy in high-energy p-p collisions

We study low part of p_T distributions for various heavy-particles such as DY, W, Z, H and t-tbar . For this purpose we investigate the evolution of the peak of dsigma/dpt (whose position is dominated by soft-gluon resummation effects) as a function of the mass of the particle and sqrt(s). We used POWHEG for NLO calculation and PYTHIA and HERWIG as Parton Shower Monte Carlo programs.
