Measuring Light Yukawa couplings and Flavour Changing Neutral Currents in Higgs hadronic decays at the FCC-ee

Authors/Creators

Description

We present a study of the sensitivity of the FCC-ee to Higgs decays involving light quarks (up and down) and flavor-changing neutral currents (FCNCs). Using a dedicated multivariate analysis, we exploit the $\rm e^+e^- \to \nu\bar{\nu}H(jj)$ final state to identify, classify, and extract hadronic Higgs decays. We derive 95\% CL upper limits on $\rm H \to uu$, $\rm dd$, $\rm bs$, $\rm bd$, $\rm sd$, and $\rm cu$, improving upon existing bounds by up to an order of magnitude. These results highlight the unique potential of the FCC-ee to probe the light Yukawa sector and test for extensions of the Standard Model that induce FCNCs in the Higgs sector.
