Description
This is a report following the work done during the research project as part of the Summer Student Program at CERN which was done under the supervision of Dario Soldi. In this report, the history of the NA62 experiment and the goals are first presented followed by a focus on the experimental apparatus. Moreover, further focus is given to the trigger system with an introduction to the Level 0 trigger process. Lastly, a comparison between 2018 data versus 2021 data is presented concerning the counting of the CHOD, MUV3, NewCHOD, and RICH detector as well as a general introduction to the data analysis performed in this experiment.
