Description

This report presents an analysis performed at CERN, focusing on specific biases and uncertainties in neutrino-nucleus interactions that affect the determination of neutrino oscillation in view of the upcoming DUNE experiment. Utilising the GE- NIE event generator, the study assesses several interaction models, particularly in regard to their handling of Final State Interactions (FSI). The impact of these models on energy prediction discrepancies and cross-section measurements is quantified. A significant portion of the study is dedicated to the statistical evaluation of FSI model performances. Additionally, the report details the quality control work performed for the ERAM TPC detector modules, crucial for the T2K experiment. These findings provide actionable insights to refine detection methods. The insights gained from this work contribute to a more precise understanding of neutrino interactions, supporting ongoing research in the field.
