Description
This document describes the development of a new model framework for simulating heavy ion collisions, called the Jyväskylä event generator. The Jyväskylä event generator is designed to be used for conducting a Bayesian analysis. The framework includes multiple heavy ion collision models which simulate the initial conditions of the collision, the viscous hydrodynamics of the quark gluon plasma, hadronization, and the evolution of the resulting hadron gas. In this document a comparison of different heavy ion collision models will be made and then key steps in the process of developing the new event generator will be outlined. With the Jyväskylä event generator new Bayesian analyses can be performed and can be compared to prior Bayesian analyses in order to reduce the model dependence of the estimated Bayesian parameters.
