Description

The Gravitational Behaviour of Antihydrogen at Rest (GBAR) experiment aims to measure the free-fall acceleration of neutral antihydrogen $H\bar{}$ in Earth’s gravitational field ($g\bar{}$ hence the acronym), in order to test Einstein’s weak equivalence principle on antimatter. This principle states that the trajectory of a test particle is independent of its composition and internal structure when subjected only to gravitational interaction.
