Description

The thermomechanical characteristics of materials under hypervelocity and high-temperature impact are analyzed. Thermodynamic states of high compression and expansion are produced. Thermomechanical phenomena connected with high pressures and temperatures, elastic, plastic and shock wave behavior, changes of material density, phase (solid-liquid-gas-plasma) transitions, intense stress waves, material fragmentation and explosions, are discussed. MATLAB code is created in this work, and equation of state diagrams are presented using SESAME equation of state files. Simulation of laser beam impact on different materials using different EOS is carried out and the results are discussed.
