Description
In this project three unfolding methods are tested on three different observables for theHggF→W Wchannel. Iterative Bayes Unfolding, Singular Value Decomposition, and Matrix Inversion are tested on the distributions of Mll , pTh , and pTll. These results are compared to research completed prior to the projectto see if different methods give better results, and if statistical uncertainties are the main contributor tothe accurate choice of regularisation strength in unfolding. It was found that regularisation is preferable forall observables, and some unfolding methods that had not been previously tested proved better than othermethods. Statistical uncertainties showed to have less effect on the regularisation strength than systematic uncertainties
