Description

A charged Higgs boson remains undiscovered to this day, despite the significant impact it would have for improving our understanding of particle physics. The detection of such a particle could revolutionize areas such as the study of electroweak symmetry breaking, extensions to the Standard Model and potentially open doors to entirely new physics. This thesis focuses on the detection of the proposed charged Higgs boson using machine learning techniques applied to simulated proton-proton collisions. The main objective is to develop a machine learning model to identify and distinguish the desired events of the charged Higgs boson from background events.
