Short-Term Saved Leave Scheme

Description
As announced at the meeting of the Standing Concertation Committee (SCC) on 26 June 2007 and in http://Bulletin No. 28/2007, the existing Saved Leave Scheme will be discontinued as of 31 December 2007.
Staff participating in the Scheme will shortly receive a contract amendment stipulating the end of financial contributions compensated by save leave. Leave already accumulated on saved leave accounts can continue to be taken in accordance with the rules applicable to the current scheme.
A new system of saved leave will enter into force on 1 January 2008 and will be the subject of a new im-plementation procedure entitled "Short-term saved leave scheme" dated 1 January 2008. At its meeting on 4 December 2007, the SCC agreed to recommend the Director-General to approve this procedure, which can be consulted on the HR Department's website at the following address:

All staff wishing to participate in the new scheme are invited to submit an EDH request. The EDH form is already available for completion by staff wishing to participate as of 1 January 2008. Staff submitting a request between 7 and 31 January 2008 will have the possibility to opt for an entry date backdated to 1 January 2008.
Please note that the usual two-month notice period will be suspended until 31 January 2008.

Comme annoncé lors de la réunion du Comité de Concertation Permanent (CCP) du 26 juin 2007 et publié dans le http://CERN Bulletin nº 28/2007, le système de congé épargné actuel sera clôturé au 31 décembre 2007.
Les titulaires concernés recevront sous peu un avenant au contrat précisant la fin de la contribution financière compensée par un congé épargné. Les congés accumulés sur le compte « Congé épargné » pourront être pris selon les règles en vigueur dans le système actuel.
Un nouveau système de congé épargné entrera en vigueur le 1er janvier 2008 et sera régi par une nouvelle procédure de mise en œuvre intitulée « Système de congé épargne à court terme » du 1er janvier 2008. Lors de la réunion du CCP du 4 décembre 2007, le Comité a convenu de recommander au Directeur général l'approbation de ladite procédure qui peut être consultée sur le site web du Département HR:

Tous les titulaires désirant participer au nouveau système sont invités à soumettre une demande sous EDH.
Le document EDH est disponible dès à présent pour une participation à partir du 1er janvier 2008. Les titulaires qui soumettront leur demande entre le 7 et le 31 janvier 2008 auront également la possibilité d'opter pour une participation avec effet rétroactif au 1er janvier 2008.
A noter que jusqu'au 31 janvier 2008, le préavis normal de deux mois n'est pas applicable.
