Description
The angular correlations of heavy-flavor and charged particles in high-energy proton–proton collisions can be used for probing the charm-quark production and fragmentation. A study of the the azimuthal correlation function of prompt D mesons with charged particles fitted with the Von Mises function in pp collisions performed at ALICE detector at the center-of-mass energy of √s = 13 TeV is reported. The results are compared with the ones obtained using a Generalised Gaussian + Gaussian fitting function. Finally, the Von Mises function has been used for fitting the azimuthal correlation function of prompt D mesons with charged particles also in pp and p-Pb collisions at √s = 5.02 TeV.
