Automation of ALPHA´s laser power
Authors/Creators
Description
The main goal of ALPHA (Antihydrogen Laser PHysics Apparatus) is to try to understand the open questions in fundamental physics. To mention some of them, they are related to why does the universe is made of just matter, and where has all the antimatter gone. It is important to monitor ALPHA's laser power and its spatial mode inside the cavity to determine the transition 1S-2S with the best accuracy. The automation can be done using LabVIEW by programming a device capable of rotating the laser's power measure device.
