Measurement of Higgs boson production in association with a vector boson and decay to b-quarks in the Simplified Template Cross Section framework and interpretations with the Standard Model effective field theory

Description

This thesis summarises the cross-section measurement of a Higgs boson decaying into a bottom quark pair produced in association with a vector boson. The measurement is performed using the CMS data collected during Run 2 with the integrated luminosity of 138 fb$^{-1}$. The cross section is measured in Simplified Template Cross Section stage 1.2 bins and interpreted in terms of Standard Model Effective Field Theory operators. The inclusive and STXS measurements are both compatible with the Standard Model predictions.
