Description
The ATLAS Muon Central Trigger Processor Interface uses information from the muon trigger detector system to check, if certain trigger conditions are met. Before checking, it attempts to remove muons that were counted twice by the trigger detector because of overlap between different detector modules. This process is called overlap removal. This report determines the impact of the overlap removal on the efficiency of the muon trigger system. Additionally, this report outlines some possible encodings, by which the muon trigger system can transmit data on muon hits to the topology trigger of the ATLAS Trigger system.
