Description

I compared trigger efficiencies and rates for different LHCb trigger topologies for the upcoming detector upgrade 2 to evaluate the impact of using timing information in the trigger algorithms versus not using time information from the VELO subdetector. Not all trigger topologies show a correlation in their performance with using time information over not using it. However, some trigger topologies show an advantage of using the time information over not using it. More detailed checks should be performed to validate or further improve the trigger algorithms and the usage of time information within them.
