Preparations for the CMS 2017 Data Release

This report details our 8-week Summer Student Programme project, focused on preparing for the 2017 CMS data release. Key tasks included enhancing data curation scripts for simulated datasets, optimizing metadata accuracy, and improving documentation. These preparations support the CMS experiment's commitment to Data Preservation and Open Access, ensuring that valuable scientific data is available for reuse by the global research community.
