HPL for The Computer Farm & Retina Algorithm for the LHCb VELO Summer Student Report Diego Berdeja Suárez under Daniel Cámpora

The Retina Algorithm attempts to emulate the human eye's ability to respond quickly to linear patterns. The general scheme consists on building a database of pre- constructed hit tracks and on assigning a weight to each track depending on the Berdeja 1 proximity of actual input data hits. This weight is then considered in the parameter space of the database and searched for high-weight clusters.
