Description

The WISArD experiment at ISOLDE aims to find non-zero values of the scalar contribution to the weak interaction by utilizing the beta-delayed proton emission of 32Ar decay. The summer student project aims to replace the manual operation of the diagnostics stations along the beamline of the experimental setup with remote control operation. Stepper motors have been calibrated and tested for precision and sustainability and will be integrated into the control system.
