Description

This is a short summary of the work done by the summer student Arnaud Gbokanlé Doko during his 10-week stay at CERN in the summer of 2014 in the EN-MME group. -- This study took place within the Mechanical & Materials Engineering (EN-MME) Group at CERN. The Group performs design and fabrication work for a CERN-wide community of Users, each request being called a “job” administratively managed with software called “JMT”. The quality and accessibility of technical drawings, as well as other documents, for specific jobs closed in 2013 was investigated. The jobs assessed came from the following EN-MME capabilities: Fabrication Methods & Subcontracting (FS), Forming & Welding (FW) and Machining & Maintenance (MA). The jobs which combined several different technologies, termed Multi-Activities, were also investigated. This is a continuation of previous research conducted in August 2013 about jobs closed in 2012.
